In-Person Classes

What is this place?

Improv College is an online-only improv school for people looking for advanced improv classes. It's where some of the best teachers from around the world can share with you their expertise.

We want to take your improv to the next level while operating with a focus on inclusivity and acceptance. Online improv classes aren't going to replace physical classes but rather complement them. There are countless skills that can be picked up online. And having virtual classes eliminates many barriers that physical classes struggle to overcome including affordability, accessibility and the limitations of our time-space existence.

Improv College is run by Vinny François, co-creator of can-i-get-a.com, co-founder of the Montreal Improv Theatre, founder of Camp Zipzap (a improv camp for adults), and a longtime teacher, performer and director.

Improv College operates out of the unceded, traditional territory of Kanien’kehá:ka. The island called "Montreal" is known as Tiohtiá:ke in the Kanien’kehá:ka language, and has always been a meeting place for many Indigenous peoples. As artists working to reflect the world around us, we believe it is crucial to explore our colonial past and acknowledge its ongoing legacy in our present day.

We urge everyone to learn more about the history of these territories and to support Indigenous initiatives across Turtle Island and beyond. As a starting point, we encourage our audience to review the Calls for Justice from the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry addressed to all Canadians or the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: 94 Calls to Action.
