WHO IS THIS FOR?
For anyone with over 20 hours or more of improv training
- Performers looking to better connect with and support their scene partners
Be A Good Partner is an improv class with the express aim of helping you support each other on stage. The goal is to give you the tools to make your scene partners feel heard and empowered, while learning to take up your own space and use your own voice. (If you've never taken an improv class before, we strongly suggest starting with our Intro to Improv class.)
This class looks at collaboration through the lens of supporting your partners' choices while also building on them. We dig into imposter syndrome, self-criticism, and self-erasure to bring out the best and boldest improviser already in you.
We will tackle:
- Active listening
- Making offers
- Being decisive
- Saying "yes" and "no"
- Collaborating and heightening
- Consent and sensitive topics
